Format: Sunday-School Songsters
Small-scale collections of hymns, most often including appropriate tunes, for performance by Sunday school students. Such collections are usually printed in oblong formats and may include a section on musical instruction, though this section is usually less extensive than that of a traditional tunebook. This type of songster was prominent from the 1840s–1870s.
