Denomination: New Thought
Works issued by or for the use of New Thought believers, whose theology emphasizes the omnipresence of divine spirit and the interrelatedness of physical and spiritual realms. In addition to works from the heyday of New Thought in the 1870s–1920s, this collection includes works from two movements that contributed to the development of New Thought: Swedenborgianism, based on the teachings of the Swedish theologian Emanuel Swedenborg (1688–1772), and Spiritualism, focused on communication between the living and the dead and coming to prominence in the United States in the 1840s.
